This internship lives at the intersection of business and sports. It’s about governance, growth, operations and organizational excellence. It’s for curious, ambitious and driven young leaders to gain real-world (and paid) experience in an exciting and rapidly-growing industry.
While shadowing Flag Star Football’s day-to-day operations and growth strategy, interns will also hear-from and work-under top executives of the Monumental Sports and Entertainment team. Infused with guest-lectures from top, local executives, interns will get to interact with and learn from the area’s industry leaders.
This is for folks who want to learn, grow and take a meaningful step towards their professional futures.
WHO: Business-minded young adults, ages 15 - 24.
This is for high school and college students, as well as recent graduates.
WHAT: A ten-session, paid internship program. Over the course of approximately four months, interns gain exposure to all facets of sports-related (and general) business components: start-up strategy, communication, marketing, finance, operations, growth and charitable/non-profit work.
Partnering with Monumental Sports & Entertainment’s administrative staff, we’ll have high-level guest speakers and real-life projects to work on with members of MSE’s executive team.
WHEN: Midweek evenings; Early Dec. - Late March. Meetings start at 5pm, followed by attendance at (or projects during) the 7:00 game.
WHERE: Capital One Arena. We’ll meet in a meeting space late afternoon/evening. Following these meetings, we’ll regularly have complimentary tickets to Capitals or Wizards games.
