Employment at Flag Star is a two-way street. We interview, train and manage our employees in the hopes of providing the best possible youth sports experience. And yet - when the season is over and the payroll has run - there’s something our staff gives us that’s impossible to quantify.

Our Winter/Spring Internship program is a way to give something back. And reaching out into our community.

Working with a wide-range of young leaders (ages 14 - 24) Flag Star runs a Winter/Spring internship program to invest back in our staff. It gives them real-world work experience, exposure to a multi-faceted organization and something tangible to put on their resume outside of “Coach” or “Ref” (neither of which does their impact/experience justice).

Running since January of 2016, our Internship program has graduated hundreds of young leaders who’ve gone on to great and incredible things in their lives.

‘24/’25 Sports Management / Business Internship

QUICK HITTERS

WHO: 15-24 year-old business-minded young adults, Boys & Girls

WHAT: A ten-session, paid internship program. Over the course of three-months, interns will gain exposure to all facets of sports-related (and general) business components: start-up strategy, communication, marketing, finance, operations, growth and foundation/non-profit work.

Partnering with Monumental Sports Network’s administrative staff, we’ll have high-level guest speakers and real-life projects to work on between meetings.

WHERE: Capital One Arena. We’ll meet in a meeting space and - following each meeting - will have comp’ed tickets to that day’s Caps or Wizards game.

WHEN: 5:00-6:30pm; followed by Wiz/Caps game at 7.

(10 Session, PAID Internship/Job training)

  • Session 1- December 5th : Dallas Mavericks Vs Wizards

  • Session 2- December 19th : Charlotte Hornets Vs Wizards

  • Session 3- January 8th : Vancouver Vs Capitals

  • Session 4- January 14th : Anaheim Vs Capitals

  • Session 5- January 29th : Toronto Raptors Vs Wizards

  • Session 6- February 12th : Indiana Pacers Vs Wizards

  • Session 7-February 25th : Calgary Vs Capitals

  • Session 8-March 3rd : Ottawa Vs Capitals

  • Session 9-March 18th : Detroit Vs Capitals

  • Session 10-April 2nd : Sacramento Kings Vs Wizards
